Cubs

Cubs are the section between Beavers and Scouts aged between 8 and 10.5. Cubs get up to lots of activities and challenges. Now they are a little older than Beavers, Cubs are able to do more camping, have more adventure and complete harder challenges.

Bearsted Scouts have 2 Cub packs in the group who meet on Tuesdys and Wednesdays during term time.

Challenges are a key part of Scouting, and the Cubs section has loads of challenges on offer. From outdoor challenges to team leader and teamwork challenges, Cubs have the opportunities to gain valuable practicale skills that can help them throughout their lives.

Scouting offers all young people a fantasitc array of skills through activities and challenges. From learning life saving first aid skills, to how to treat others with respect, Cubs are given opportunities to pick up skills without even realising.

With regular activities from crafts to camping, Cubs offers some fantastic unique opportunities for all young peopel aged between 8 and 10.5.

Adventure is always at the heart of Scouting, and just because you may be a little younger doesn’t mean that you are excluded! Cubs allows young people the chance to explore limits in a safe and supervised manner, whether it is climbing to the top of a wall, or getting that bulls-eye in archery for the first time – Scouting offers it all.
